Cake smash/milestone

“You gave us a gift every day. One year with you has meant 365 special gifts for us. Each day with you in our lives is an irreplaceable and priceless gift..” — Unknown

You've survived the first year - congrats!

My cake smash and milestone sessions are a fun and memorable way to celebrate your little ones first year of life.

When should I book?

I recommend booking these sessions between 10 and 12 months, when baby can sit unassisted, and I an get the images to you before their first birthday.

Where will my session be held, at what time of the day, and how long will it go for?

You have the option of having your cake smash session in my home based studio in Biloela, or outdoors - it all depends on the look you're going for.  I prefer to book these sessions after your little one has had a nap - that way they are nice and happy, and will flash us lots of smiles.

The length of these sessions depends on your little one - they generally go for between 45 minutes - 1.5 hours.

What do we need to supply?

When booking in for these sessions, it is a good idea to know what theme you are going for. If I have props that will suit your theme, you are most welcome to use them. Otherwise, I can purchase props, or you can bring along props and outfits to use. Because of food intolerances, I DO NOT supply the cake. There are lots of wonderful local cake makers who will be able to make you something gorgeous for this big day.

How do these sessions work?

I always take a few photos of the set up before baby gets in there and really destroys it! Then we take photos of the messy fun as they dive into and taste their yummy cake. At the end of the session, I have a baby bath filled with lovely warm water and bubbles, where they can sit and splash while we get a few more shots, and then we clean them up.

What do we pay up front?

The only cost you pay up front is my session fee, which is $150. This is required to guarantee your booking, and covers our time together during the shoot, and the full editing of your gallery.
