So you're pregnant or have just had a baby - congratulations. Life has now truly begun!
My newborn sessions are full service., which means that I supply all the props, outfits, and wraps for baby. Of course, if you have something special you would like included, please feel free to bring it along. Your babies comfort and safety is my number one priority - I am fully insured, all of my vaccinations are up to date, and I have done lots of training with some of Australia's Newborn industry leaders.

When should I book?
I recommend booking in for your newborn session ASAP, at a minimum around the 4-6 month mark. I will make a tentative booking for you approximately 5 days after your due date - this at least secures your session booking. As we all know, babies come when they feel like it - so please in the lead up to your due date keep in contact with me, and we can change the date of your booking to suit. Of course, once you have had baby, shoot me an email or text and we can firm up that booking date!
Where will my session be held, at what time of the day, and how long will it go for?

I hold all of my newborn sessions in my home based studio in Biloela. I prefer to book my newborn sessions in the mornings, but I am happy to work around you and your schedule.

My newborn sessions are never rushed - I remember all too well just how exhausting those first days and weeks are! Generally I recommend my clients put aside 2-3 hours, This allows plenty of time for feeding and settling baby.

How old should baby be?
My ideal time to capture newborn photos is within the first 8-10 days of life. But don't worry - if you have already had your baby, I am able to capture newborns up to 8 weeks old. However, please note the look and feel of the gallery will be a lot different from the photographs you see on my website. Babies that are older than 10 days are more awake, harder to pose in those snuggly poses, and are a lot stronger! I work with your baby to capture some amazing memories, taking into consideration their safety, comfort, strength and sleepiness at all times.

Can we do family and sibling shots?

Yes, of course! This is such a special time for the WHOLE family! I love to capture older siblings simply doting on their new baby brother/sister. Family and sibling photos are something you will look back on and treasure for the rest of your life, all of my newborn sessions include these shots at no extra charge.

What should I wear?
Please stay away from shirts with large logos on the front, and anything that is heavily patterned.
Stick with simple colours, and perhaps different hues of the same colour, we want colours that compliment each other, rather than being TOO matchy-matchy. I suggest different neutral shades (i.e. ivory, grey, beige) and then add a few pops of coordinating colour.
Hair and make up - while not 100% necessary for every shoot, it certainly makes your photos extra special if you 'dress up' for the occasion.

What do we pay up front?
The only cost you pay up front is my session fee, which is $200. This is required to guarantee your booking, and covers our time together during the shoot, and the full editing of your gallery.
