High School Formal Portraits...

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught ... is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” — Aaron Siskind
Year 12 formals are a special time in every young adults life. They are about to take that step from being a child at school, to being an adult in the big wide world. It is a celebration for not only the child, but their entire family - especially their parents - you made it through the school years! YAY!
Where will my session be held?
My formal sessions are held outdoors. If you are coming to me in Biloela, I generally have one spot picked out, all my clients come to me as I have the spot decorated especially for the occasion. If I am travelling out of Biloela, I am open to suggestions from you.
What should I wear?
Obviously your child who is attending the formal will be dressed up - the remainder of the family should dress up too...this makes these images something special you can hang with pride on your wall. Please ensure you are not wearing thongs/joggers, stay away from shirts with large logos on the front, and anything that is heavily patterned.
Stick with simple colours, and perhaps different hues of the same colour, we want colours that compliment each other, rather than being TOO matchy-matchy. I suggest different neutral shades (i.e. ivory, grey, beige) and then add a few pops of coordinating colour.
Hair and make up - while not 100% necessary for those not attending the formal, it certainly makes your photos extra special if you 'dress up' for the occasion.
