Portraits...

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught ... is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” — Aaron Siskind

Needing to update your family portraits? Have you FINALLY got all your family together in the one spot? Or do you have a creative project in mind...I'm your girl! I adore portrait photography and the memories it creates for my clients.

Where will my session be held and at what time of the day?

My portrait sessions can either be held outdoors at any location, or at my home based studio in Biloela. If you have a special spot in mind - let me know, or alternatively I can suggest a few different spots depending on the theme you are looking for. If we are doing your session outdoors - I highly recommend booking in at the 'golden hour' in the afternoon - the light is the most flattering at this time of the day.  If you are wanting in studio portraits, I can book these at any time of the day that suits you.

What should I wear?

If you are having an on location shoot, please ensure you are not wearing thongs/joggers, stay away from shirts with large logos on the front, and anything that is heavily patterned.

Stick with simple colours, and perhaps different hues of the same colour, we want colours that compliment each other, rather than being TOO matchy-matchy. I suggest different neutral shades (i.e. ivory, grey, beige) and then add a few pops of coordinating colour.

Hair and make up - while not 100% necessary for every shoot, it certainly makes your photos extra special if you 'dress up' for the occasion.

How long will the session take?

I aim to keep these sessions short and sweet. I am very aware that not everyone is comfortable in front of the camera, and I will always work hard to ensure I get every shot that you are after. I have lots of my clients (mostly husbands and kids!) remark to me at the end of our session together 'well that wasn't painful!", which is music to my ears.  I go out of my way to make sure the session is fun and relaxed for everyone involved - I am not your normal look at me and smile photographer - I love to get my clients interacting with each other, having fun and those genuine smiles and looks of love!

What do we pay up front?

The only cost you pay up front is my session fee, which is $150. This is required to guarantee your booking, and covers our time together during the shoot, and the full editing of your gallery.
